SCIENCE:
Science is the study of the natural world through experimentation, observation, and testing. There are three broad categories, including: physical sciences, life sciences, and geological/Earth sciences.
Regardless of the type of science, a similar process is used when solving problems of our universe. This process is known as the scientific method. The scientific method begins with recognizing and stating a problem. Then, forming a hypothesis based on the scientist's observations, current knowledge, and understanding of the problem. Once the problem has been recognized and a hypothesis has been formed, an experiment should be developed that will test the validity of the hypothesis using observations and data that is measurable and collected over many trials. Once the experiment has been completed, it should be analyzed without bias, to either support or deny the initial claim. Finally, a conclusion can be made, using statements of fact, that address the problem of concern. Decisions of what to do with scientific knowledge and information, is not part of the scientific process. Science has its limitations.
